We, 2 adults and 3 youngsters at 17, 15 and 15 years old, were on holiday in Cyprus in week August, 2011. The place we had rented was a 2 storey townhouse, located in a wonderful little enclave in beautiful surroundings.
The pool, which was super, only 10 meters from the terrace and at no time were crowded or noisy. Accompanying the house, there were 5 loungers with mattresses, which could be placed at the pool.
Inside the house there are 2 toilets with bath and 2 bedrooms, 1 with balcony overlooking the pool. On the terrace there is a table with chairs, so you could take meals in the shade.
We arrived from Larnaca in rental car (approx. 1 ½ hour drive) and had no trouble finding the townhouse after the description of our hosts. The house was clean and aerated at our arrival, and everything was in perfect order. When we arrived to the townhouse, we found the number for the property manager if problems arise (which did not).
We quickly explored the neighborhood, 5 minutes to the grocery store, 10 minutes to the waterfront with countless restaurants, bars, discos and beaches, all within walking distance. Prices were around. 10 euros for an evening meal, many places also with 1 liter of wine per. 2 adults.
At the harbor there were all possibilities for entertainment, such as water sports and tours with various boats, or just to enjoy a drink, ice cream or a cup of coffee. Many restaurants are serving breakfast (English) for less than 3 euros.
Shops and markets were also many, even in a very short distance from the house.
We were also on a day trip to northern Cyprus, across a mountain range and up to the northern border (Turkish area) where soldiers still keep watch on both sides. The roads are in ok condition, and it's no problem driving around down there (however, it's leftside driving). All rental cars have special red license plates, so everyone knows that there is a tourist on the road.
A super holiday for the whole family, even the kids thought it was cool, and it is not the last time we're gonna go to Paphos and Paradise Garden III.
